Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a Medical Director to lead the team at their full-service clinic serving the greater Columbia area, including Irmo, Chapin, and nearby communities. This practice is committed to delivering exceptional medical, surgical, dental, and preventative care for pets, with an emphasis on client education and compassionate service.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Medical Director role offers full-time flexibility within these hours and includes oversight of the hospitals clinical and operational functions, without after-hours duties.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you will lead clinical operations and provide hands-on veterinary care, including surgery, dentistry, wellness, internal medicine, and laser therapy. Youll guide the medical team with an emphasis on mentorship, standards of care, and collaboration. The role balances leadership responsibilities with clinical work and is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys developing people and processes while staying actively involved in patient care.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
