We are seeking an experienced and passionate Veterinairian to join our well-established, compassionate team. Located in the beautiful Hilton Head Island, SC, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality, compassionate care to small animals in a friendly, supportive environment. We are looking for a veterinarian who is committed to excellent patient care, client education, and teamwork in a collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide high-quality medical care for a variety of small animal patients, including diagnostics, treatment, and preventative care (vaccinations, wellness exams, and routine checkups).
  • Surgical Expertise: Perform surgeries such as spays, neuters, dental procedures, and other soft tissue surgeries, ensuring safety and positive outcomes for patients.
  • Diagnostic Procedures: Utilize diagnostic tools, such as radiology, lab work, and ultrasounds, to diagnose and treat animals effectively.
  • Client Communication: Educate pet owners on their pet’s health needs, treatment options, and preventive care. Build lasting relationships with clients by providing compassionate, clear, and timely communication.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with veterinary technicians, assistants, and other team members to provide excellent patient care. Foster a positive, cooperative work environment.
  • Emergency Care: Manage emergency cases and provide immediate care in critical situations, ensuring the well-being of both the patient and the pet owner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and thorough medical records for all patients in accordance with practice policies and regulations.
  • Professional Development: Stay current on veterinary medicine trends, techniques, and best practices through continuing education and self-study.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid veterinary license to practice in South Carolina (or ability to obtain one).
  • Minimum of 2 years of veterinary experience preferred, though new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Expertise in small animal medicine, surgery, and diagnostics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
  • Ability to handle a wide range of medical, surgical, and emergency cases.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • A compassionate, positive, and professional attitude toward pets and clients.
