Certified Veterinary Technician- Anesthesia

Daily Responsibilities:

• Assist board certified veterinary surgeons in guiding clients and patients through their visits and ensure exceptional care.
• Participate in patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and cutting-edge procedures.
• Master anesthesia, sedation, and surgical protocols, including scrubbing in on different advanced surgeries. 
• Administer and monitor anesthesia in animals during advanced surgical and diagnostic procedures.
• Serve as a patient advocate, providing compassionate care and ensuring their comfor and safety during their stay. 
• Continuously monitor vital signs (heart rate, respiration, oxygen levels, blood pressure, etc.), using ventilator during anesthesia while in the operation room. 
• Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze samples.
• Administer medications, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation. 
• Utilize aseptic techniques during surgical procedures and recovery to prevent infections.
• Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment with autoclave machines.

Required Skills:

• All applicaants must be a CVT
• Experience in patient anesthesia (3+ years) working in specialty hospital setting.
• Experience as surgical assistance, pre- and post-operative care, sterilization and equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy is required.
• Proficiency in laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine is beneficial.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethics.
• Strong understanding of veterinary terminology to effectively communicate within the team.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: + $30 hourly based on skill assesment and anesthia experience
