Key Responsibilities:

- Surgical Expertise: Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, dental cleanings, and other necessary surgeries.
- Client Communication: Build lasting relationships with pet owners, providing them with clear and compassionate communication regarding their pets’ health, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Diagnostic Skills: Utilize diagnostic tools such as radiography, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory services to diagnose and treat a wide variety of medical conditions.
- Emergency Care: Handle emergency cases that arise during regular hours, providing immediate and effective treatment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with a skilled team of veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff to ensure high standards of care and clinic efficiency.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, ensuring compliance with clinic protocols and legal requirements.
- Professional Development: Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine by participating in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in Ohio (or the ability to obtain one).
- 3-5 years of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong interest in small animal care, surgery, and emergency medicine.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and the veterinary team.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to animal care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
