We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and team-oriented Hospital Manager to oversee the daily operations of a fast-paced veterinary hospital. This leadership role works closely with the Administrative Director, Medical Director, and department supervisors to ensure exceptional patient care, outstanding client service, and a positive, efficient work environment for all team members.
The Hospital Manager provides direct leadership to administrative and operational departments while supporting hospital growth, employee development, and operational excellence. This position is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for team development within the veterinary field.
Responsibilities- Supervise and support department leaders including Supervisors, Education & Training Coordinator, & Operations Coordinator
- Oversee daily hospital operations to ensure efficiency, workflow, and high-quality client service
- Manage scheduling for supervisors and support staff, including approval of time-off requests
- Address employee concerns, performance issues, and client complaints professionally and effectively
- Conduct employee reviews, coaching, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR and leadership
- Collaborate with the Medical Director and Education Coordinator on training policies, protocols, and staff development
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering while maintaining budget expectations
- Assist with advertisement, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of support staff
- Monitor compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and industry standards
- Participate in routine administrative meetings and rotating on-call responsibilities
- Conduct department meetings and assist with operational and protocol improvements
- Previous leadership or management experience required, preferably in veterinary medicine
- Strong organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
