General Practice (Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary service in Austin that is dedicated to providing peaceful and dignified end-of-life care for pets in the comfort of their homes. They are currently hiring for an At-Home Euthanasia Veterinarian to join their compassionate team, serving small animals (cats and dogs), with the opportunity to work with exotics if desired.

Working Hours / Rota
The working schedule for this role is highly flexible, with both full-time and part-time options available. The hospital's opening hours and doctor hours will be chosen and tailored by the successful doctor.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This compassionate practice views their work as more than just a job-it's a calling, where medical expertise meets heartfelt empathy to create comforting, lasting memories for pets and their families. With a commitment to personalized care, you'll have the opportunity to conduct no more than five appointments a day, ensuring each family receives the attention they deserve. In this role, you'll lead end-of-life and quality-of-life assessment appointments with warmth and understanding, guide families through aftercare options, provide grief support with empathy, and manage the transport of deceased pets with the utmost dignity and care. Your ability to navigate diverse family dynamics with compassion will be key to helping families feel heard and supported during these difficult times. This role is suited for experienced veterinarians, as the position requires working independently as the solo doctor on the road.

Practice Details
The practice operates with a fully equipped vehicle, offering at-home euthanasia and hospice services. The focus is on providing highly personalized care, with each visit centered on supporting the pet and their family through this important transition.

Team
The successful candidate will initially serve as the market lead veterinarian, working solo until additional doctors are added to the team in the area. You will have the support of a dedicated technician of your choosing, creating an environment where compassionate care and teamwork are prioritized.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
