General Practice (Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a well-established, full-service veterinary hospital in Slidell, Louisiana, hiring for a Full-Time Veterinarian to join its compassionate and collaborative team. The practice provides care for companion animals and is dedicated to delivering high-quality, personalized veterinary services.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The practice is closed on Sundays. The position is full-time with a schedule designed to support work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinarian will provide comprehensive care including wellness and preventive care, diagnostics, surgery, dental care, and end-of-life counseling. Clinical responsibilities include examining and treating patients, operating diagnostic equipment, interpreting results, advising clients on care and treatment, performing soft tissue surgeries and specialized procedures, prescribing medications, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role is open to experienced veterinarians and is well-suited for those looking to grow in a supportive environment.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, digital x-rays, ultrasound, and an in-house pharmacy. Services offered include wellness and preventive care, dental care, diagnostics, acupuncture, allergy testing, routine and specialized soft tissue surgeries, and a wide range of surgical procedures such as gastropexy, amputation, enucleation, episioplasty, hematoma repair, and cystotomy. The practice fosters a collaborative and respectful work culture.

Team
The team consists of three veterinarians supported by an experienced and dedicated staff. The environment is collaborative and mentoring-focused, providing an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a positive team culture.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
