Veterinary Assistant

At Huntsville Animal Clinic, we pride ourselves on compassionate, thorough care for our patients and the people who love them. We’re currently looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant who is confident in their clinical skills and passionate about helping animals feel safe, calm, and well-cared for.

While we are in the process of making some exciting internal improvements—such as updating processes, enhancing team communication, and bringing more structure to our day-to-day—none of that matters more than the one thing that’s always been at the center of our work: the patient.

What You'll Do:

• Provide hands-on care and support to patients during exams and treatments

• Assist with restraint, diagnostics, and basic lab procedures

• Prepare rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical space

• Support veterinarians and technicians during procedures

• Educate clients with empathy and professionalism

• Keep detailed patient records and help maintain clinic flow

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 1 year of experience working in a veterinary clinic (required)

• Solid animal handling skills and clinical confidence

• Experience with Avimark preferred

• Reliability, attention to detail, and a calm demeanor

• A genuine love for animals and a team-centered mindset

• Openness to process improvements and a willingness to grow with a team that’s evolving
