Introduction
Our client is a hospital that treats cats, dogs, and small mammals, and they are currently hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The position offers flexible scheduling with options for full-time, part-time, and rotating shifts, including 3/12 schedules. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with no current Sunday hoursthough plans to extend hours are underway.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will primarily work with cats and dogs, focusing on urgent care and engaging surgical cases. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are encouraged to apply, with structured mentorship available to support early-career development and build clinical confidence.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with in-house ultrasound, digital radiographs, and digital dental radiographs, along with Ardell monitors, pulse oximetry, blood pressure monitoring, and advanced surgical care capabilities. It uses electronic medical records (EMR) and has a full pharmacy. Every exam room is equipped with a computer to streamline patient care. An in-house lab supports chemistries, electrolytes, and CBC testing, with access to Antech for additional diagnostics. The facility includes eight exam rooms, a treatment area, and dedicated dental and surgery suites. This is a fear-free practice committed to community impact, regularly working with local rescue organizations. Services offered span advanced dental care, bone and joint surgery, cardiology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, digital radiology, echocardiography, EKG, endoscopy, OFA X-ray, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedic surgery, PennHip evaluations, reproductive services, soft tissue surgery, Tonopen, and ultrasound. Additional services include acupuncture, canine and feline diabetes care, ZooMED animal care, primary care, and preventive care.

Team
The team includes seven DVMs, supported by 11 assistants, one registered veterinary technician (RVT), and an additional 11 support staff. The environment emphasizes collaboration and mentorship.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
