General Practice (Medical Director Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a hospital that provides high-quality veterinary care to cats and dogs and is currently seeking a full-time Medical Director Veterinarian to lead their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to step into a leadership role while continuing to practice medicine at a full-service general practice facility.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on Sundays. The Medical Director Veterinarian is expected to work four weekdays along with rotating Saturdays. This is a full-time position only.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director, under the guidance of the field management team, is responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards of medical care and patient services within the hospital. In addition to performing the full scope of general practice veterinary dutiesincluding surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, and wellness carethe MD also provides mentorship and leadership to the veterinary team. This role is suited for experienced veterinarians only, as it requires strong leadership, integrity, and a collaborative spirit.

Practice Details
The hospital is well-equipped with advanced tools including a cold laser, digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratories, EKG, and more. It is a full-service general practice facility providing comprehensive care in a supportive and modern environment.

Team
The team currently includes two DVMs supported by a dedicated group of veterinary professionals, maintaining a strong 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio. The work culture is team-oriented, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
