Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join our exceptional team. We are looking for an experienced or new graduate veterinarian to provide high-quality care for small animal patients in a supportive and collaborative environment. Our clinic located in Roslyn, PA, is a full-service clinic offering preventive care, diagnostics, surgery, and emergency services to pets in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Veterinary Care: Provide excellent medical care for small animals, including wellness exams, diagnostic testing, vaccinations, and treatment of illnesses and injuries.
- Surgical Proficiency: Perform routine surgeries such as spays, neuters, and dental cleanings, as well as more advanced procedures when necessary.
- Client Education: Educate clients on pet health and wellness, preventative care, and treatment options. Build strong, long-term relationships with pet owners by providing clear communication and compassionate service.
- Diagnostic Services: Utilize state-of-the-art equipment, including digital radiography, ultrasound, and laboratory services, to accurately diagnose and treat patients.
- Emergency Care: Provide emergency care as needed, handling urgent situations with professionalism and care.
- Collaboration: Work as part of a cohesive team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure high standards of patient care and efficient clinic operations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate medical records for each patient and adhere to practice policies and regulations.
- Continued Learning: Stay current with veterinary medical advancements, attend continuing education courses, and implement best practices in clinical care.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited veterinary school.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in Pennsylvania (or the ability to obtain one).
- 1-2 years of clinical experience is preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Experience in small animal surgery, diagnostics, and emergency care is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate and interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
