Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care is seeking a board-certified Veterinary Surgeon (ACVS) or a residency-trained Veterinarian to join our expanding specialty hospital in Huntington, NY. Exciting Facility Expansion in 2025!

We are expanding into a larger specialty facility to enhance patient care and surgical capabilities. The expansion includes:

  • 8,000 additional sq. ft. of treatment space.
  • A brand-new operating room and six additional exam rooms.
  • Dedicated CT room & in-house lab upgrades.

About the Role

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will be a key part of our collaborative specialty team, performing a wide range of soft tissue and orthopedic procedures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing complex soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.
  • Developing surgical treatment plans and post-operative care strategies.
  • Collaborating with board-certified specialists in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Cardiology, and Rehabilitation.
  • Providing mentorship to veterinarians and technicians.
  • Delivering high-quality, compassionate patient and client care.

Qualifications

  • Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) or residency-trained in Small Animal Surgery.
  • Active New York veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • Proficiency in a wide range of soft tissue and orthopedic procedures.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
  • Commitment to practicing high-quality medicine and upholding veterinary ethics.
