About the Role

As a Medical Director (Managing DVM), you will take on a leadership and mentorship role, guiding the veterinary team in providing top-tier medical care while ensuring operational success. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing medical leadership and oversight of veterinary staff.
• Managing associate veterinarians and fostering their professional growth.
• Developing and upholding hospital-wide medical protocols to maintain excellence in patient care.
• Collaborating with the hospital leadership team to set goals and drive hospital success.
• Leading team meetings, performance reviews, and staff development initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with veterinary regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited program.
• Active Texas veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain one).
• 5+ years of veterinary experience preferred.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and inspire teams.
• Strong emotional intelligence and ability to manage staff effectively.
• Commitment to high medical standards and ethical veterinary practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
