Job Summary
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Veterinarian to join our team in El Paso, TX. As a member of our progressive veterinary hospital, you’ll play an essential role in providing top-notch care to a wide variety of small animals, collaborating with an experienced and supportive team, and helping to build lasting relationships with our clients and their pets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care for small animals, including routine wellness exams, preventive care, vaccinations, and emergency services.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as lab work, radiology, and ultrasound to diagnose medical conditions.
- Conduct surgeries including spays, neuters, and other soft tissue procedures.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for animals based on their diagnoses, medical history, and lifestyle.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners, explaining medical conditions, treatment options, and aftercare instructions.
- Maintain detailed, accurate medical records for each patient.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians, assistants, and office staff to ensure the best possible care for patients and excellent customer service.
- Stay current on new developments and best practices in veterinary medicine through continuing education.
- Participate in on-call duties or emergency services as needed (if applicable).
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the state of Texas (or the ability to obtain one).
- At least one year of experience in small animal medicine preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
- Compassionate, professional, and positive demeanor, with a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
- Ability to manage complex cases and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
- Comfort with working in a fast-paced environment and multitasking.
- Team-oriented, with a collaborative approach to care.
