We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Cisco, TX. Key Responsibilities:
- Medical Care: Provide comprehensive care for small animals, including conducting wellness exams, diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, and providing preventive care (vaccinations, flea/tick control, etc.).
- Surgical Expertise: Perform a variety of surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, and soft tissue surgeries, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient safety.
- Diagnostic Services: Utilize diagnostic tools and laboratory work, including radiographs, ultrasounds, and lab tests, to assist in diagnosing and treating animal health issues.
- Client Education: Effectively communicate with pet owners regarding their pet’s health, treatment options, and follow-up care. Ensure they are educated on preventive care and overall wellness strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with veterinary technicians, assistants, and the rest of the team to provide top-tier care in a cooperative and team-oriented environment.
- Emergency Care: Assist in handling emergency cases, providing immediate and life-saving care when needed.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate medical records for all patients, ensuring they are up-to-date and comply with all relevant regulations.
- Continual Learning: Stay current with new veterinary techniques, trends, and research to continually improve service quality and expand knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in Texas (or the ability to obtain one).
- At least 1 year of clinical veterinary experience is preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions and diseases in small animals.
- Experience performing common surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, and soft tissue surgeries.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to educate and communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a team-focused attitude.
