Circle B Veterinary Hospital in Katy, TX, just a short distance outside of the thriving metropolis Houston, has an exciting opportunity for a full time Associate Veterinarian! Our multi doctor practice enjoys the support of a well-trained and highly utilized technical support staff, and access to high quality diagnostic, treatment, and surgical equipment. We offer a rotating work schedule which allows for every other weekend completely off, and there are no on call hours required. New grads are welcome!

JOB SUMMARY

The Associate Veterinarian is responsible for medical and surgical care of patients in the exam room and in the hospital. This includes maintaining client relationships and effectively communicating the care needs and condition of their pet. Medical records are expected to be maintained in an accurate manner and estimates are presented to clients in advance of care, as appropriate. 

BASIC SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent 
  • Current Texas State License in good standing
  • Strong communication skills: written, verbal and listening 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Strong working knowledge of veterinary medicine 
  • Functional computer skills; workable typing ability 
  • Able to think rationally and logically; able to make quick, decisive decisions
  • Able to give, receive and follow directions • Able to provide training and support to colleagues and support team members 
  • Able to be empathetic and compassionate 
  • Able to be a team player 
  • Able to multi-task efficiently 
  • Detail Oriented in nature
