Shawnee Animal Clinic is a growing, family-oriented practice with wonderful clients. We currently have eight doctors of veterinary medicine and over sixty support staff between our hospital, grooming facility, and boarding and training facility. Our team is like our family, and we are looking for individuals who are self-starters, have a willingness to learn, and can multi-task in a fast-paced veterinary hospital.
Job DescriptionWe're looking for:
A courteous and efficient veterinary practice manager to oversee all aspects of our clinic's operations. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage all office administration procedures, including scheduling, inventory control, and staff coordination.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise office staff, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
- Oversee financial aspects, including payroll, budgeting, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including DEA/Controlled Substances and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain effective communication with pet owners, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to support the hospital's mission and practice philosophy.
- Implement and manage marketing strategies to promote the hospital within the local community.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of patient records and efficient clinic operations.
To be successful in this role, you should be patient, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking. You must also demonstrate exceptional management, organizational, and customer service skills.
QualificationsQualifications:
- Experienced or Certified Veterinary Practice Manager with a minimum of 1-year management experience preferred or 3+ years veterinary experience preferred
- knowledgeable in veterinary medicine terminology and how to run a veterinary hospital
- Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
- Highly organized and possess computer skills
- Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset
- Open availability with flexibility to change hours based on hospital's needs
Pay Range: $55-65K/yr depending on experience
