About the Role
As a Surgical Veterinarian / Future Medical Director, you will focus on high-quality surgical and dental procedures while receiving mentorship to transition into a leadership role. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing general practice dentistry and soft tissue surgery.
- Providing comprehensive patient care and client education.
- Collaborating with an experienced team of veterinarians and support staff.
- Upholding and enhancing medical standards within the hospital.
- Working closely with the current Medical Director to prepare for a smooth leadership transition in 2026.
Future Medical Director Responsibilities
With mentorship and support, you will gain experience in:
- Leading and mentoring veterinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Developing and upholding hospital-wide medical protocols.
- Overseeing DVM schedules, compliance protocols, and performance reviews.
- Partnering with hospital leadership to establish long-term growth strategies.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and high standards of medical practice.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited program.
- Active Maryland veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Experience in general practice dentistry and soft tissue surgery.
- Interest in leadership and willingness to grow into the Medical Director role.
- Strong mentorship, communication, and teamwork skills.
