Part-Time Veterinary Technician-Surgery Focused Position

Colonial Animal Hospital is a full service medical and surgical veterinary hospital.We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. If you have a strong interest in surgery and enjoy working in a fast-paced, supportive environment, we'd love to hear from you!

We are privately owned and managed offering a fun, positive work environment!

Schedule:

• Monday and Tuesday. With possible Thursdays.

About the Role:

Our clinic performs surgeries in the morning and sees appointments in the afternoon, giving you the opportunity to assist in both surgical and general patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians in surgical procedures and patient care
• Monitor anesthesia and post-operative recovery
• Perform routine technical duties such as blood draws, catheter placements, and lab work
• Assist with afternoon appointments, client education, and patient care
• Maintain a clean and organized surgical suite

Requirements:

• We prefer an active LVT certification, but we’re also open to experienced professionals with 5+ years of surgical experience who bring strong skills and a great attitude to the team.
• Strong interest and experience in surgery preferred
• Compassionate, team-oriented, and detail-oriented
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a clinical setting
