We’re a small but mighty team, and when we hit the road, you’ll be the doctor’s right hand — second in command — helping lead the charge in an efficient, compassionate, and personalized approach to veterinary care. If it's an office day, you'll be keeping records tidy and providing excellent customer care.

This is a make-a-difference, wear-many-hats kind of role. You’ll be relied on for everything from patient handling to client communication to surgical prep (if licensed), and you’ll play a critical role in how we operate day-to-day.

What You’ll Be Doing:

-Work directly alongside the veterinarian on the road — from setting up appointments to assisting with exams, drawing samples, administering medications, and educating clients

-Handle client communications: in person, via phone, email, or text

-Keep things running smoothly: prep records, assist with scheduling, collect payments, and maintain mobile clinic readiness

-Provide fear-free handling and compassionate care in unfamiliar environments

-If you’re a licensed tech: take the lead on anesthesia monitoring, patient prep, and surgical recovery

-Step into the unexpected — problem-solve, adapt, and help the day flow smoothly, no matter the challenge

This Role Is Perfect for You If You Are:

A veterinary receptionist, assistant or technician with 3–5+ years of experience (LVT a huge plus!)

Ready to act as a second-in-command in a high-functioning, two-person team

Energized by variety and don’t shy away from taking initiative

Able to multitask and pivot quickly throughout the day

Tech-savvy and comfortable navigating digital medical records and scheduling tools

A great communicator with a friendly, upbeat presence

Calm under pressure, organized, and great at anticipating needs

A true team player who wants to help build something meaningful

Comfortable in vehicles, physically able to work in a mobile setting, and doesn’t get carsick!

What We Offer: full or part time hours

Hourly rate of $20–$28, based on experience and credentials

1 week paid vacation (increases over time) for full time employees (negotiable based on experience)

Paid holiday time (if scheduled shift falls on holiday) for full time employees

Who We Are

We’re a small mobile veterinary practice based in Marlboro, NY, providing in-home wellness, urgent care (non-emergency), surgery, and dental services for dogs and cats within a 25-mile radius. Our practice is currently a team of one doctor, one assistant/receptionist, and a scheduler. We’re expanding — and the person who joins us will be a core part of that growth.
