Our Clinic was founded in 1985 by Dr. Ricky Landreneau, and we have been passionately serving the community ever since. We are a full-service animal hospital providing professional veterinary services for animals large and small in Ville Platte. We even have clientele that come from all over Louisiana and eastern Texas!

Dr. Ricky Landreneau has been committed to the care of animals for over 30 years. He is our primary small animal and swine doctor. He also treats equine and cattle on occasion. Dr. Ricky performs routine and specialty surgeries on dogs, cats, and swine. He has a large clientele of swine producers that come from all over Louisiana and eastern Texas.

Dr. Craig Fontenot joined the practice in 1993. Since then he’s devoted his time to the cattle and equine communities of the state. Dr. Craig is our primary large animal doctor. He spends most of his time on the road focusing on herd health and reproduction. Dr. Craig treats all cattle, equine, and goats/sheep. He performs both routine and specialty surgeries for all large animals.

Both of our doctors are experienced in the practice of equine reproduction. We have a long-standing relationship with one of the largest equine breeding farms in Evangeline Parish and do a great deal of equine work.

We also have one of the most versatile cattle chutes available. With it, Dr. Crag is able to see and treat virtually any area on the animal including procedures such as hoof trimming and hoof repair.
