Val Verde Animal Hospital (VVAH) is now in its 20th year of operation and still going strong. We currently are a one doctor practice and employ 2 full time licensed veterinary technicians and 2 part time licensed veterinary technicians. It is our desire to increase our Vet Tech staff by at least 2 more technicians to fill gaps left by technicians that were needed to help with family concerns created by Covid 19. We also have on staff 1 full time Rehabilitation specialist, 3 full time receptionists and 1 part time receptionists, and 1 part time veterinary assistant (pre-veterinary student). We operate together more like a family at times than a business and this is why some of our employees have remained with us for over 15 years with no one being with us for less than 4 years. We are not a cookie cutter type of hospital. Our patients deserve our best, our time, and our integrity.

VVAH's first priority is to make sure that we are caring for our patients in the same way we would want our own pets cared for. We also strive to understand and meet the expectations of our clients while respecting and staying within their budgetary guidelines. We provide in house Abaxis diagnostics, digital radiography, ultrasound , internal medicine, dental medicine, soft tissue surgery and some orthopedic surgery. We also have delved into the Regenerative Medicine realm and incorporate laser therapy, PRP therapy and underwater treadmill therapy and rehabilitation. Dr. Hord has received his certification as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) and that portion of the practice is in its growth phase.

We look forward to hearing from and meeting newly graduating and Licensed Veterinary Technicians soon and hope that we find new team members to join us as we head out of this past year of Covid 19 suppression and look forward to a much brighter time period.
