Mt. Nittany Veterinary Hospital is a small animal practice located in State College, PA. The practice has been established in the community for over 40 years, and has been owned by Robert D. Cohen, DVM and Stephen R. DeMay, MBA since October 2008. OUR MISSION STATEMENT At the Mt. Nittany Veterinary Hospital, our goal is to be the veterinary hospital of choice in the communities we serve. LOCATION Mt. Nittany Veterinary Hospital is a small practice, located in the central Pennsylvania mountains in State College, very close to Penn State University. We enjoy a “small town” setting with little traffic and almost unlimited outdoor activities in a scenic environment, yet still enjoy the culture and many events and activities associated with living in a college town. PRACTICE OVERVIEW Mt. Nittany Veterinary Hospital employs two full time veterinarians, a part time veterinarian, and a support staff of approximately 20 team members. Our hospital houses our veterinary practice, as well as space for grooming, and boarding. The hospital was remodeled in the winter of 2011, and we are equipped with a complete IDEXX in-house laboratory, digital radiography, digital dental radiology and ultrasound. We also operate a small satellite outpatient practice, the Mt. Nittany Veterinary Clinic in Philipsburg, PA, approximately 20 miles from our primary location. Our practices utilize AVImark practice management software, and function “paper-lite” as much as possible. The Mt. Nittany Veterinary Hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday morning from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and the Mt. Nittany Veterinary Clinic is open Monday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, Tuesday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, Thursday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
