The Texas State Aquarium provides high quality, entertaining programming through education, conservation, and wildlife rehabilitation. Responsibilities include but are not limed to:
- Provide advanced care for aquatic animals, including fish and invertebrates.
- Clean and maintain aquarium exhibits, work areas, and related equipment.
- Prepare animal diets and feed according to established procedures.
- Perform daily maintenance of assigned life support systems and monitor water quality parameters.
- Enter exhibits using SCUBA equipment to clean exhibitory, provide animal care, and/or feed animals as needed.
Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in marine biology or related field from four-year college or university; one year of experience working in a public aquarium/zoo; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Open Water SCUBA certification Certifications in First aid, CPR, AED and Emergency Oxygen
