THE ROLE

At Ziggy's Parlor, quality is the standard — not the exception. As a Groomer / Pet Stylist, you bring your skills, your eye, and your passion to a salon that takes what you do as seriously as you do. Ziggy's Parlor is a full-service grooming salon located in Mount Pleasant, SC, operating as part of a premier pet resort and serving a community that genuinely loves its animals. You'll work alongside a focused team of four to eight grooming professionals in a salon built for the craft — where every appointment is treated as a priority and every pet parent walks out proud. WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Groom dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments to the highest quality standards — breed cuts, style requests, and everything in between

• Consult with pet parents on their preferred styles and deliver exactly what they're envisioning with care and professionalism

• Perform full bath, brush, haircut, nail trim, ear cleaning, and add-on services

• Maintain an organized, hygienic workspace — sanitize tools and stations between every single pet, every single time

• Complete all grooms on time and communicate proactively with the team on scheduling and any concerns

• Suggest add-on services and retail products that genuinely benefit each individual pet

• Report low supply levels to management and handle equipment with care

• Support the broader salon team and contribute to a workspace where quality and collaboration go hand in hand

WHAT YOU BRING

• 1 to 2 or more years of professional grooming experience — you've worked with real clients, real breeds, and real expectations

• The ability to groom all breeds and execute specific cuts requested by clients with confidence and precision

• A genuine love of animals and patience with pets of all sizes and temperaments — especially the ones that make you earn it

• Warm, professional manner with pet parents — you listen well and deliver on what you promise

• Upbeat, dependable, and proud of your work — you take ownership of every dog that leaves your station

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Formal grooming school or apprenticeship preferred

• Comfort working in the coastal South Carolina climate and familiarity with the active, pet-loving culture of the Mount Pleasant and greater Charleston area is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift 50 or more lbs

• On your feet in a busy salon for a full shift

• Comfortable working around animal dander and sanitation chemicals

• Schedule is flexible but must meet the demands of our salon — including availability on weekends and during peak periods
