Animal Keeper

About Brookgreen Gardens

Brookgreen Gardens is a National Historic Landmark nestled in the heart of South Carolina's picturesque Lowcountry. We uniquely blend art, history, botanical gardens, and the environment, creating an unparalleled destination for visitors and a fulfilling workplace for staff.

Our Lowcountry Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), showcasing native species in natural habitats. We are dedicated to conservation and education, using our animal ambassadors to connect guests with the beauty and importance of the natural world.

Located across the street from Huntington Beach State Park, our setting offers stunning views and access to one of the most pristine beaches on the East Coast. The historic Atalaya Castle, the former home of Archer and Anna Huntington, adds to the charm of this truly special place to work and live.
