Position Summary:
The Diagnostic Laboratory Technician supports clinical and research activities within the College of Veterinary Medicine, Poultry Diagnostic and Research Center ( PDRC ), by ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of diagnostic samples. This role is responsible for accessioning specimens, performing diagnostic procedures such as serology and bacteriology, and maintaining precise data entry, reporting, and record-keeping systems.

The technician provides customer service to domestic and international clients, as well as faculty and staff, serving as a key point of communication throughout the diagnostic workflow. Additional responsibilities include generating reports and analyzing client data, reviewing cases for completeness and accuracy, and assisting with administrative functions such as billing and invoicing. This position contributes to the overall effectiveness of laboratory operations and supports the advancement of veterinary clinical and research initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:
Ability to perform tests following standard protocols, prioritize work load, pay attention to detail and communicate with staff and clients. Be a highly motivated, innovative and critical thinking individual. Have computer proficiency (with MS office and various other web based programs/platforms).
