Animal Care Assistant

The essential function of the position within the organization is to perform technical and clerical duties in support of the daily operations of the Lake County Animal Shelter. The position is responsible for maintaining daily shelter operations, caring for impounded animals, providing assistance to clerical staff, and performing related tasks as assigned. The position works under direct supervision according to set procedures.

This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.

THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION.

Minimum Qualifications:

Any equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Requires high school diploma, GED, or vocational training with one year related experience.

Requires a valid Florida driver's license.
