This position supports exceptional patient care while overseeing daily technician operations, mentoring staff, and ensuring clinical excellence.Clinical Leadership & Patient CareThe Lead Veterinary Technician serves as a clinical resource, mentor, and liaison between technicians, veterinarians, and management.Responsibilities include:Perform all Veterinary Technician duties at a high level:Patient restraint and nursing careVenipuncture, catheter placement, and sample collectionAnesthesia induction and monitoringSurgical assistance and dental proceduresRadiology and diagnosticsMedication preparation and administrationServe as a clinical resource for technicians and assistants during appointments, procedures, and surgeriesEnsure compliance with medical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirementsAssist veterinarians with complex cases and proceduresSupport workflow and efficiency within the technician teamMentor and guide technicians and assistants to maintain high clinical standardsAct as liaison between clinical staff and leadershipWhat We're Looking ForCertified Veterinary Technician (CVT) requiredPrior leadership or senior technician experience strongly preferredStrong emergency/critical care experience preferredAdvanced anesthesia and monitoring skillsExcellent communication and team leadership abilitiesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced emergency environmentStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsPassion for mentoring and supporting team growthBenefitsWe believe in taking care of our team as well as we care for our patients.
