Great Rivers Animal Hospital in Alton, IL is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our compassionate team of pet care professionals. Due to our continued growth, we're excited to welcome a new team member who shares our commitment to exceptional veterinary care.

The Role

As a Certified Veterinary Technician, you'll be a vital member of our clinical team, working alongside our veterinarians to provide exceptional care to our patients and outstanding service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures

  • Perform laboratory tests and analyze results

  • Monitor and care for hospitalized patients

  • Educate clients about pet health and preventative care

  • Maintain medical records and equipment

  • Prepare surgical instruments and assist during surgeries

  • Administer medications and treatments as directed

Qualifications

  • CVT certification (new graduates welcome!)

  • Passion for animal care and client education

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities

Salary

The base hourly range for this position is $20.00-$24.00. Our pay ranges are primarily determine d by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximu m target for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determine d by work location and additiona l factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
