Veterinary Assistants support all functions of the CVM and DeBusk Veterinary Teaching Center, including animal care and support for laboratory sessions.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; Experience handling and managing companion and/or farm animals

Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large

promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students

Job Duty

assist the designated faculty to provide clinical and lab experiences for students in an efficient, professional, and authoritative manner

Job Duty

assist with preparation for laboratories including organization of resources, including faculty, animals, student groups, equipment for laboratory, and consumables for laboratories

Job Duty

assist with lab clean up

Job Duty

assist with handling, maintenance, monitoring, and treatment of the animals housed at the DeBusk Veterinary Teaching Center

Job Duty

ensure that all OSHA and USDA guidelines are implemented in student clinical student activities; *comply with all IACUC guidelines

Job Duty

maintain adequate records for animals

Job Duty

maintain a current inventory of materials and equipment used in labs

Job Duty

other duties as assigned
