Job Summary:

Supermicro Headquarter located at San Jose, California is currently seeking a highly motivated energetic and seasoned Sr. PCB Layout Design Engineer who wants to be part of our fast growing company. You will work closely with Hardware Design Team and contribute in all phases of the product design, including placement, routing and drafting. You must bring a combination of PCB design, assembly, test and fabrication knowledge and demonstrable design process experience to the position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working closely with board design engineers, perform PCB layout of high-speed/high-density value-conscious PCBs for the product engineering, using Cadence PCB design tools Allegro (17.X is must, 22.X is plus) and Capture
• Focus on the complete development of PCB layout, floor planning and detailed component placement, and constraint management, with a concept of topology and signal/trace integrity
• Be responsible for the design releases required generation of artwork files and electronic PCB documentation
• Implement designs follow SI constraints
• Response on PCB manufacturer EQ/TQ
• Review Gerber files
• Creating PCB footprint

Qualifications:

• Prefer Engineering degree and Drafting courses in Engineering and Mechanical
• Minimum 8 years PCB layout experience preferred
• Deeply familiar with Cadence CAD tools: PCB editor, ORCAD
• Wide knowledge of PCB manufactures, PCB layout, Materials, Signals Integrity and simulation software
• Experienced in high speed signals, high current power and 16+ layers designs
• Excellent organizational skills
• Self-motivated, team player with ability to work in fast-paced environment

Salary Range

$165,000 - $190,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
