Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Boise, Idaho. Required Qualifications:
  • One year of recent experience as an Anesthesia Technician
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cer.A.T (ASATT)
  • Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Summary:

The Anesthesia Technician assists the anesthesia team prior to, during, and after patient procedures. They must be proficient in the preparation, maintenance, and resupplying of anesthesia supplies and equipment, ensuring all necessary resources are ready for use in the operating room.

Essential Work Functions:
  • Anticipate the needs of the licensed anesthetist for specific anesthesia techniques using technical knowledge
  • Perform first-level maintenance on anesthesia equipment
  • Assist with set-up, scrubbing, gowning, and gloving of self and team
  • Clean, disinfect, stock, order, and maintain routine anesthesia equipment and supplies
  • Provide support for routine surgical cases by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of equipment and anesthesia delivery systems
  • Ensure that anesthesia-related documentation and equipment records are accurate and complete, in accordance with facility protocols
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care
  • Practice infection prevention through consistent hand hygiene, use of PPE, and isolation precautions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Essential Skills:
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
  • Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
  • Interpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
  • Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
  • Sensory - Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
