What Youll Do
As a Discharge Veterinary Technician at MVA, you will be the final touchpoint in a patients hospital journeyplaying a critical role in ensuring seamless communication, proper medical review, and client confidence before going home. In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate discharges across all hospital departments with accuracy and care
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with clients during discharges and updates
  • Review and confirm that medical records are current, accurate, and complete-maybe change this to something about going home with the proper medications and post care instructions
  • Accurately calculate and administer medications
  • Perform treatments, diagnostics, and assist with patient care as needed
  • Ensure that patient/client needs are met efficiently while maintaining high standards of care
  • Act as a backup for admits and patient updates when needed
  • Complete end-of-shift rounds and responsibilities
  • Support and teach peers within your skill set and licensure
  • Uphold hospital policies and maintain a high standard of professionalism
  • Collaborate with managers, technicians, and veterinarians to maintain exceptional hospital flow and care continuity

Anticipated Schedule
This is a full-time position with the following available schedule:

  • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 10:00 AM- 8:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM 4:00 PM

Compensation

  • Starting at $22/hour

Requirements

Were looking for Discharge Technicians who are organized, compassionate, and confident communicators. Our ideal candidate has:
