We’re proud of the collaborative environment and positive team culture we’ve created—and we’re looking for a Practice Manager who shares that passion.

We are seeking a results-driven and people-focused Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations at our NVC-Lake Charles location. This individual will play a key leadership role in aligning the team, optimizing workflows, and ensuring exceptional client and patient experiences.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role requiring strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Team Leadership

  • Set expectations, coach team members, and foster a culture of accountability and support.
  • Coordinate scheduling, team communication, and performance reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for staff development and continuing education.

Client Experience

  • Respond to reviews, monitor client satisfaction trends, and strengthen client retention.
  • Partner with NVC’s Marketing Team to enhance community visibility.
  • Monitor accuracy of client-facing messages and oversee phone, text, and email communications to ensure consistency and professionalism.
  • Manage escalated client complaints with professionalism and empathy.

Operational Oversight

  • Support inventory control, facility maintenance, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to set financial goals, monitor progress, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Uphold the practice’s reputation for excellent client service and patient care.

Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure OSHA, DEA, Texas Veterinary Board, and labor law compliance
  • Handle Worker’s Comp claims, documentation, and staff safety initiatives
  • Protect confidentiality of staff, client, and patients’ information.

Financial & Administrative Support

  • Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and pricing strategy
  • Help maintain accurate financial reports and daily/monthly reconciliation
  • Support policies related to billing, accounts receivables, and hospital profitability

Benefits and Perks

  • Supportive leadership, collaborative culture, and unmatched teamwork
  • Opportunities for career development, mentorship, and continuing education
  • Full benefits package including:
    • 401(k) with match
    • Medical, dental & vision insurance
    • Life insurance
    • Paid time off
    • Employee assistance program
    • Professional development assistance
    • Veterinary service discounts
    • Annual bonus opportunity

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years of veterinary or operational leadership experience
  • Working knowledge of inventory control, tracking usage, and minimizing waste.
  • Proven ability to motivate teams, solve problems, and maintain employee retention.
  • Thorough understanding of veterinary medicine procedures and patient care standards.
  • Passion for helping others and upholding excellent client service experience.
