Urgent Care (Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a hospital that focuses exclusively on the care of cats and dogs, currently hiring for a part-time Urgent Care Veterinarian. This is a swing/second shift position that involves handling common urgent cases.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Thursday and Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The Urgent Care Veterinarian role follows a swing/second shift schedule with flexible part-time options. There are no specific after-hours or overnight responsibilities detailed.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves managing common urgent cases such as wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. The position is designed for experienced veterinarians who are comfortable working solo on shift. A very confident new graduate who does not require extensive mentorship may also be considered.

Practice Details
The hospital opened in 2025 and features modern facilities equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment. It is both FearFree and Cat Friendly accredited, with a clinical focus on treating urgent but non-emergency cases including wound care, ear infections, gastrointestinal issues, and euthanasia.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
