Introduction
Our client is a 24-hour AAHA-accredited hospital currently seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their team within a large, multi-specialty environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, providing emergency services around the clock. Specific doctor hours and full- or part-time status are not detailed, offering flexibility to accommodate different scheduling preferences based on hospital needs and candidate availability.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will manage full emergency responsibilities, including urgent and critical care cases, stabilization, diagnostics, and treatment planning. This role is best suited for an internship-trained or experienced emergency veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative specialty hospital environment.
Practice Details
The hospital spans a 36,000-square-foot facility and is equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment tools including digital radiography, ultrasound, CT, endoscopy, and a linear accelerator. The practice also features services in ophthalmology, cardiology, dermatology, and medical oncology, as well as a dedicated radiation oncology center staffed by an in-house radiation oncologist. The integration of a linear accelerator and CT scanner supports an advanced oncology program encompassing medical, surgical, and radiation oncology.
Team
The hospital is home to a large team of DVMs, Specialists and is supported by a tenured support staff. The culture is highly collaborative, with a focus on interdisciplinary teamwork and shared clinical expertise in a dynamic, multi-specialty setting.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
