Join Our Team as a Veterinary Assistant!

Madison Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Madison, OH. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced veterinarians and support staff in providing top-notch care to our furry patients.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Assist with kennel duties and maintaining a clean and organized facility
• Handle animal restraint during examinations and procedures
• Prepare surgical equipment and assist with surgical procedures
• Provide care to small animals, including feeding, walking, and monitoring health
• Accurately fill medications for patients
• Stocking medications and supplies for the hospital
• Enter charges for appointments

Required Skills:

• Client education on pet care and wellness
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery
• Proper restraint techniques
• Ability to lift 50 unassisted 
• Ability to stand for long periods of time

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in any veterinary setting
• Experience with restraints
• Experience in nail trimming, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression
