If so, Madison Veterinary Hospital is looking for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team in Madison, OH. As a Veterinary Technician at our hospital, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of experienced professionals who are committed to providing the highest level of care to our patients.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Assist with surgical preparation and procedures
• Provide client education on pet wellness and preventive care as well as disease management
• Monitor anesthesia during surgeries
• Maintain diagnostic equipment
• Administer medications, place IV catheters
• Collect specimens for laboratory submission
• Perform dental prophylaxis and catheterization
• Maintain and update medical records 
• Verify medications prescribed and filled are accurate
• Client education from surgical procedures

Required Skills:

• Registered/Certified Veterinary Technician
• Experience in anesthesia monitoring
• Strong animal care skills
• Client education

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with X-Rays and lab procedures
• Knowledge of critical care and triage
• Ability to perform venipuncture and monitor vital signs

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary: $20 - $25/hour
