Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their small animal general practice in The Villages, Florida. The hospital cares primarily for cats and dogs, with some occasional exotic pets. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to join a well-established, AAHA-accredited and Fear Free certified facility committed to high-quality medicine and compassionate care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates six days a week, from Monday to Saturday. Opening hours are Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM; Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM; and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The hospital is closed on Sundays. The position offers full-time or part-time flexibility and does not require after-hours or on-call responsibilities, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses all duties associated with a General Practice Veterinarian, including preventive care, dentistry, internal medicine, and surgery. The hospital also offers services such as orthopedic surgery and acupuncture. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with strong mentorship and clinical support available.

Practice Details
The hospital is a full-service facility, AAHA-accredited and Fear Free certified. It includes a dedicated dental suite with digital dental radiology, electronic medical records, and on-site pet boarding. In addition to general practice services, the hospital provides advanced procedures like orthopedic surgery and acupuncture, and utilizes laser therapy in treatment protocols.

Team
The practice is currently staffed by three DVMs supported by a highly trained, tenured support team. The environment is collaborative and mentorship-focused, fostering continuous learning, professional growth, and a strong sense of camaraderie among the team.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
