Our client is a hospital in Rancho San Diego, California, currently hiring for a full-time Associate Veterinarian. This progressive and well-equipped clinic provides care for a diverse mix of species, including dogs, cats, and a range of exotic animals such as birds, reptiles, rabbits, and small mammals. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is closed on weekends. This position offers a full-time schedule with no weekend or overnight responsibilities, supporting a healthy work-life balance. Flexible scheduling options are available for the right candidate.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering preventive and primary care to a broad patient base, including exotic species. Daily responsibilities include soft tissue surgery, diagnostics, wellness care, and issuing health certificates for travel. The role emphasizes clinical excellence and is supported by a skilled team, with opportunities suitable for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is outfitted with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment including digital radiology, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, cold laser therapy, Tonopen, and in-house laboratory capabilities. With six exam rooms and hands-free radiology, the facility ensures efficiency and safety for both staff and patients. The caseload is varied and stimulating, with a strong focus on comprehensive care and medical precision.

Team
The medical team includes one DVM supported by 11 team members, comprising five Registered Veterinary Techniciansthree of whom have over 15 years of experience with small animals and exoticsand four veterinary assistants. The environment is highly collaborative, supportive, and mentoring-focused, designed to empower veterinarians to practice at the highest standard of care.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
