General Practice (Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a hospital that provides care for dogs, cats, avian, reptile, and pocket pets. They are currently hiring for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm and on Saturdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm. It is closed on Sundays. Doctor hours are to be discussed, and the position is full-time.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will develop a rapport with clients to understand their needs and wishes, perform physical examinations, and carry out diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures that provide the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort. They will be responsible for explaining examination findings, communicating diagnoses, generating and presenting treatment plans, and educating clients on preventative care including vaccinations and nutrition. The role includes maintaining medical and surgical records, following established protocols, assisting colleagues with follow-up care, staying current with medical advancements through Continuing Education, and contributing to the growth of the paraprofessional team. The veterinarian will also represent the hospital positively in the community and treat each client and patient with compassion and respect. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital has been serving its community for over 50 years and is equipped to support professional development across preventive medicine, advanced diagnostics, and surgical procedures. The facility includes ultrasonography equipment and offers a wide range of services including wellness and preventive care, diagnostics, surgical and dental procedures, and pet boarding. The hospital collaborates with specialists in cardiology and diagnostic imaging and manages cases involving radiology, cardiology, dentistry, as well as general and orthopedic surgery.

Team
The team includes 3 DVMs and 13 support staff members. The environment is collaborative and focused on mentorship and continuous learning.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so

Salary up to $180,000 (Annual)
