General Practice (Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team, providing care for a wide range of species including avians, cats, dogs, pocket pets, rabbits, and reptiles. The role includes a four-day work week with a schedule to be discussed, primarily focused on urgent care and walk-in cases.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with a four-day work week. Scheduling details will be discussed. The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. It is closed on Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will perform comprehensive physical examinations and wellness screenings for dogs, cats, and other small animals. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating medical conditions, injuries, and illnesses using evidence-based medicine and advanced diagnostic techniques. This role is primarily responsible for urgent care and walk-in shifts and cases. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and housed in a large, modern facility designed to deliver the highest standards in preventive and healing care. It is well-equipped with digital radiography (including dental), ultrasound, a CO2 laser, and additional advanced tools. Services offered include chemotherapy, dermatology, ophthalmology, ultrasound, Tonopen testing, primary and preventative care, ZooMed animal care, and urgent care/walk-in services.

Team
The hospital team consists of 7 DVMs and 10 support staff, including 3 registered veterinary technicians, working together in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
