What You’ll Do:

As a Veterinary Technician or Assistant, you’ll provide essential care and support across a variety of medical procedures, collaborating with a dedicated team and making a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families every day.

• Assist veterinarians during exams, procedures, and surgeries
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the DVM
• Provide gentle, safe animal handling for patients in emergency situations
• Monitor patient vital signs and behavior, and report concerns promptly
• Prepare patients for surgery or diagnostic procedures
• Educate pet owners on home care, medications, and post-procedure care
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of surgical and exam areas
• Support front desk operations, including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and managing records
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless patient care
• Communicate effectively with both clients and colleagues
• Adapt to the fast-paced, dynamic nature of an emergency and specialty veterinary setting

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a veterinary technician or assistant capacity (emergency or critical care experience is a plus)
• Veterinary Technician Certification (preferred, not required)
• Controlled Substance Permit (preferred)
• Strong animal handling and restraint skills
• Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology
• Comfort with medication administration protocols
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle urgent situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A desire to learn and grow both personally and professionally
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends
