Emergency (Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a multi-specialty and emergency hospital seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their established team in Northern Virginia. This is a well-equipped small animal facility offering advanced emergency and specialty care. The hospital has served the community since 1995 and is known for its collaborative and collegial environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This role is for emergency day shifts only. The team is open to both full-time and part-time applications, offering flexibility to accommodate different scheduling needs.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position includes all typical emergency veterinary duties and responsibilities. The hospital is looking for experienced candidates but is also open to those with less emergency-specific experience. Emergency veterinarians in this role will have the opportunity to work closely with a wide range of specialists and contribute to the care of complex cases.

Practice Details
The hospital offers extensive facilities and equipment including a 3D Spiral CT, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, C-arm, MRI, and an in-house Antech lab with rapid diagnostics (CBC, chemistry, electrolytes, coag monitors, and more). The facility includes 24 exam rooms and five surgical suites with an enclosed sterile corridor. Specialty departments include cardiology, diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, radiation oncology, rehabilitation, and surgery. A broad spectrum of services is provided by board-certified specialists across these departments.

Team
This is a multi-doctor practice featuring both general veterinarians and board-certified specialists. The support staff is experienced and collaborative, fostering a supportive environment. There are opportunities to teach and mentor through an active internship program, regular veterinary student externships, and continuing education initiatives for DVMs.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
