Urgent Care (Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital focused exclusively on urgent care for cats and dogs. They are hiring for an Urgent Veterinarian to join their team, delivering care for non-wellness, non-emergency cases during extended hours.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Saturdays, and 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sundays. This role requires evening and weekend shifts and offers a flexible schedule, with all shifts falling within swing or second shift hours.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Veterinarian will manage a wide range of common urgent care cases such as wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. There are no wellness services or abdominal surgeries involved in this role. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and those earlier in their careers.

Practice Details
These brand-new, modern hospitals are designed for efficiency and patient comfort, with separate areas for cats and dogs, special accommodations for larger breeds, and a quiet comfort room for euthanasia. The clinics are feline-friendly and follow a fear-free approach. Each location is paperless and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.

Team
You would be the sole doctor on shift, supported by a strong technical team. The environment encourages collaboration and engagement with both the clinical team and leadership, fostering a relationship-based approach to patient and client care.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
