Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and other health issues in pets.
  • Perform surgeries and medical procedures as needed.
  • Administer vaccinations and medications according to established protocols.
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality care.
  • Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary college.
  • Valid veterinary license to practice in the state of Tennessee.
  • Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy.
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
  • A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being.
