TLC Animal Hospital is a fast paced, full service veterinary clinic for cats and dogs. Located in the heart of the Clear Lake area, we have been providing high quality and compassionate veterinary care to families in the community since 1996. We are a small, independently owned clinic and pride ourselves on being honest, compassionate, and reliable. We are also working towards becoming a Fear Free Certified clinic.

In addition to being a full service animal hospital, we offer boarding and bathing services to our patients. We specialize in medical and geriatric boarding for the pets that need more indepth care. Whether it's helping them walk, administering medications, or simply just giving our immunocompromised patients a safe place to stay, we're here to ensure our patients both a relaxing and healthy stay.

Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is not required, but would be a plus. 
All applicants must have strong customer service, animal care, and multi-tasking skills. 

Boarding Responsibities:

Walking all boarders at least three times per day, ensuring the safety of each boarder by using leashes while walking, feeding each boarder based on their individual needs/instructions, ensuring that all boarders are eating/drinking/eliminating during their stays, monitoring for any abnormalities and alerting the technicians and/or Doctors when something comes up, one-on-one playtimes with boarders, checking for and cleaning any messes in the kennels, replacing bedding as needed, ensuring that each patient has access to clean water throughout the day, cleaning out litter boxes throughout the day for any cats that are boarding, administering medications

Bathing Responsibilites:

Bathing dogs and cats, checking for mats or any other issues before the bath, brushing out the pet before the bath, safely securing the pet in the tubs, cleaning ears, brushing teeth, trimming nails and using a dremmel after, expressing anal glands (both internally and externally), ensuring proper restraint and animal handling, use of muzzles as needed, use of kennel dryers or hand dryers as needed, walking all pets that are here for baths throughout the day, contacting the client if there are any issues or to let them know that the pet is ready for pick up

Other responsibilites include: 

Properly maintaining records (bath notes, any issues during boarding, etc.), setting up kennels for incoming boarders and baths, documenting on cage cards after each walk and paying attention to any warnings/instructions listed, assisting with collecting urine and fecal samples, assisting the technicians with restraining patients as needed, taking care of any patients here for medical/surgical appointments while they're here, client education, keeping the kennel area clean throughout the day, ensuring all laundry and dishes are properly washed and sanitized, assisting other areas of the clinic as needed

Pay rate is negotiable based on experience level.
