Our Veterinary Technicians play a critical role in the continued success of this practice collaborating closely with our veterinarians overseeing care of our patients from clinic visits, surgeries, and emergencies.

Alicia Jones joined Midland Animal Hospital after graduating from Fort Valley State University in 2017 and is the lead Veterinary Technician. “MAH provides a healthy work environment; we are a family of like-minded individuals whose focus is on the health and quality of life of your pet. Essential Skills
- Communication/client relations – obtain patient history, triage, attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
- Collect samples for in-house diagnostics or to outsourced labs.
- Perform dental prophylaxis, oral exams, dental radiographs.
- Administer medications, vaccines and implement treatment plans.
- General knowledge of x-rays, products and procedures offered through the hospital.
- Venipuncture, IV catheter placement
- Responsible for inducing and maintaining general anesthesia (induction, intubation, monitoring, recovery)
