Associate Veterinarian

Animal Hospital of Grants Pass is a Privately Owned Small Animal Practice: Looking for Full Time and Part Time Associate Veterinarians.  Duties encompass performing physical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, performing surgeries, and providing treatment recommendations to pet owners. You will also educate clients on preventative care and animal health. Furthermore, associate veterinarians may supervise veterinary technicians and maintain patient records.

Clinical Care:  Perform a wide range of clinical tasks, including physical examinations, diagnostic tests, IV’s, Radiographs, treatment planning and follow up.

Surgical Procedures: Base on skill set perform surgical procedures, such as spays, neuters, and other surgeries.  TPLO’s, fracture repair, abdominal and thoracic surgeries. 

Preventive Care: Provide preventative care services, including vaccinations, parasite control, and dental care.  We do lots of dentistry.

Client Communication: Communicate effectively with pet owners to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and preventative care recommendations.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and thorough patient medical records using Avimark.

Teamwork: Associate veterinarians may supervise and work closely with veterinary technicians and assistants.  We work as a team to teach and learn from each other.

Professional Development: Attend continuing education courses and stay up-to-date on new developments in veterinary medicine.
